Article 5 directs Parties to notify the Secretariat of their final regulatory actions to ban or severely restrict a chemical for health or environmental reasons. Upon receipt of a notification the Secretariat verifies whether it complies with Annex I to the Convention. Once verified a summary is published in the PIC Circular. The summary describes the scope of the action.
