Summary of the final regulatory action: The application for the renewal of the approval of the active substance prochloraz was withdrawn by industry from the approval process under Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market. Consequently, the approval of prochloraz expired on 31 December 2021. As a result, it is prohibited to place on the market or use plant protection products containing prochloraz because prochloraz is not approved as an active substance in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009.

 

EU Member States had to withdraw authorisations for plant protection products containing prochloraz as active substance by 31 December 2021. Disposal, storage, placing on the market and use of existing stocks of plant protection products containing prochloraz is prohibited as of 1 January 2022.
