The final regulatory action was based on a risk or hazard evaluation: Yes Summary of the final regulatory action: Dinoterb has been deleted from Poison List 1 of the Swiss Federal Agency of Health (see attached letter of the Swiss Federal Agency of Health, dated 24 April 2001: "Dinoterb Re-evaluation der gesundheitlichen Risiken bei der Verwendung als Herbizid" ("Reevaluation of Dinoterb health risks in its use as a herbicide"). This means that all products ie pesticides containing Dinoterbe and its salts loose their registration and will be deleted from Poison List 2 of the Swiss Federal Agency for Health. The reasons for the final regulatory action were relevant to: Human health Summary of known hazards and risks to human health: Taking into account the toxicological characteristics of dinoterb as well as other dinitrophenols, plant protection products containing these active ingredients can lead to unacceptable health effects for operators. Dinoterb shall therefore be deleted from Poison List 1. With this deletion, a regulation shall be executed that has been applied in the EU in 1998 already in the withdrawal of registrations for plant protection products containing dinoterb as the active ingredient.
