The Banned Pesticide List is a regulatory action circulated under the mandate

of the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture (MoFMRA) for the

last 5 years. Any update to the list is gazetted by MoFRMRA as per the general

regulations of the government. The latest is update is on 10th October 2019

((IUL)30-E3/30/2019/231). Items to the list are updated based on many factors

such as incident reports, mammalian and marine toxicity levels, economic

relevance etc. In addition to MoFMRA, various enforcement bodies including

Maldives National Defence Force, Maldives Customs Services, Ministry of

Environment and Maldives Ports Authority adhere to this document.
