This pesticide has not been registered for use in Trinidad and Tobago because of its highly toxic nature. As a result the pesticides and toxic chemicals control board has prohibited the manufacture, importation, trade and use od Chlorobenzilate. This is in keeping with provisions under the pesticides and toxic Chemicals control act 1979 and pesticides regulations of 1987.
