On October 22, 2003 the Republic of Armenia ratified Rotterdam Convention. Armenia has not legislation for the ban on export or import of tributyltin compounds in the country yet. Conditions for import:
1. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture is acting as biocide in free association paint.
2. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture acts as biocide to prevent the fouling by micro-organisms, plants or animals of:
(a) all craft irrespective of their length intended for use in marine, coastal, estuarine and inland waterways and lakes;
(b) cages, floats, nets and any other appliances or equipment used for fish or shellfish farming;
(c) any totally or partly submerged appliance or equipment.
3. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture is intended for use in the treatment of industrial waters.
4. Tri-substituted organostannic compounds:
(a) Tri-substituted organostannic compounds such as tributyltin (TBT) compounds and triphenyltin (TPT) compounds shall not be used in articles where the concentration in the article, or part thereof, is greater than the equivalent of 0,1 % by weight of tin.
(b) Articles not complying with point (a) shall not be placed on the market, except for articles that were already in use before 31 December 2010.
Additionally, TBT compounds are not allowed for use in biocidal products intended for use as wood preservatives (biocidal product type 8).
Legislative or administrative measures:
1) Rulebook on conditions for restrictions and bans on the manufacture, placing on the market and use of chemicals (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, no 100/10, 63/13 and 33/17) in Annex I Part 1 define restrictions stated in 4.3.
2) Rulebook on list of active substances that are not allowed to be used in biocidal products (Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska, no 32/10, 74/11, 58/12 and 13/15) in Annex 1 defines that certain TBT compounds are not allowed for use in biocidal products intended for use as a wood preservatives (biocidal product type 8).

Conditions for import:
To import the chemical, the importer must on each occasion submit an import authorisation application to the Directorate General for the Protection of the Environment (DGPE).
Remarks:
- The processing of an application for the import of the chemical may require a visit to inspect the facilities and examine the conditions of transport of the chemical, of storage, use, safety and disposal of the wastes;
- The consent or authorization granted for the import of the chemical can be withdrawn at any time should the user fail to comply with environmental and social measures.

Conditions for import:
For use in laboratory and do a research in industry fields. The companies, manufacturers, enterprises and handicrafts have to notify as the official letter to institute of Cambodian standard of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation prior to import these chemical substances.
Legislative or administrative measures:
Proclamation No.252 MISTI/2020 on Restricted Chemical in Industrial Sector of the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation. In article 2 of this Proclamation stated that this article has the objective to define the 17 industrial chemicals that listed in annex III of the Rotterdam Convention as restricted chemicals and registration for using in an industrial sector of the Kingdom of Cambodia to protect safely and human health, animals and environment.
Remarks:
Tributyltin compounds are allowed to use in laboratory and do a research in industry fields only.

The Prohibition of Certain Toxic Substances Regulations, , 2012 do not prohibit:
. the import, manufacture, use, sale and offer for sale of tributyltins (TBT) or a product containing them, if TBT are incidentally present [subsection 6(1) of the Regulations];
. the import, manufacture, use, sale and offer for sale of Tetrabutyltin (which has the molecular formula (C4H9)4Sn and is also known as TeBT), containing TBT in quantities lower than 30% w/w, incidentally or otherwise [subsection 6(2)(c) of the Regulations].

Chemicals for industrial use in Chile do not have registers, but import authorization for their commercialization in accordance with the Sanitary Code, art. 90 and 93 (1), and exempt Resolution No. 408/2016 of the MINSAL, approves the list of hazardous substances for health (2).

Conditions for import:
The trading companies should apply to the MEE of China for registration of environmental management on import of this chemical. The trading companies must comply with other chemical management regulations in China.
Legislative or administrative measures:
According to the Announcement on publishing the list of China's severely restricted toxic chemicals (2018) (MEP announcement 2017 NO. 74 issued on December 15th, 2017), the permitted use for Tributyltin compounds in China is used as industrial chemicals.

Conditions for import:
In the European Union, the placing on the market and use (including import) of tributyltin compounds as industrial chemicals are allowed, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, in particular the restriction with regard to organostannic compounds laid down in Annex XVII to that Regulation, which stipulates that organostannic compounds:
1. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture is acting as biocide in free association paint.
2. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture acts as biocide to prevent the fouling by microorganisms, plants or animals of:
(a) all craft irrespective of their length intended for use in marine, coastal, estuarine and inland waterways and lakes;
(b) cages, floats, nets and any other appliances or equipment used for fish or shellfish farming;

Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency, amending Directive 1999/45/EC and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 and Commission Regulation (EC) No 1488/94 as well as Council Directive 76/769/EEC and Commission Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and 2000/21/EC (OJ L 396, 30.12.2006, p. 1), in particular the restriction with regard to organostannic compounds laid down in Annex XVII to that Regulation stipulates that the placing on the market and use (including import) of tributyltin compounds as industrial chemicals are allowed, subject to compliance with certain conditions.

Conditions for import:
Consent to import tributyltin compounds is only given if they are not used for the production of tributyltin containing plant protection products, biocides, paints, varnishes or articles.
No consent is given for the import of the following tributyltin containing mixtures: plant protection products, biocides, paints or varnishes.
Legislative or administrative measures:
Tributyltin compounds are banned as active ingredients of plant protection products as they are not listed in annex I of the Ordinance on Plant Protection Products, which entered into force in July 2011.
Tributyltin compounds are banned as active ingredients of biocide products as they are not listed in any of the lists mentioned in article 9 of the Ordinance on Biocide Products, which entered into force in May 2005.
Furthermore, it is prohibited:
a. to place on the market or use, in paints or varnishes or for service water, preservatives containing trialkyl or triaryl tin compounds;
b. to place on the market or use antifouling products containing trialkyl or triaryltin compounds;
c. to manufacture or place on the market articles containing tri-substituted organotin compounds.
These prohibitions are mentioned in chapter 2 of annex 1.14 of the Ordinance on the Reduction of Risks relating to the Use of Certain Particularly Dangerous Substances, Preparations and Articles, which entered into force in May 2005.

In Norway TBT substances is regulated according to Regulation (EC) no19 07/2006 REACH Annex XVII, Entry 20.
Organostannic compounds
1. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture is acting as biocide in free association paint.
2. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture acts as biocide to prevent the fouling by microorganisms, plants or animals of: (a) all craft irrespective of their length intended for use in marine, coastal, estuarine and inland waterways and lakes; (b) cages, floats, nets and any other appliances or equipment used for fish or shellfish farming; (c) any totally or partly submerged appliance or equipment.
3. Shall not be placed on the market, or used, as substances or in mixtures where the substance or mixture is intended for use in the treatment of industrial waters.
4. Tri-substituted organostannic compounds:
(a) Tri-substituted organostannic compounds such as tributyltin (TBT) compounds and triphenyltin (TPT) compounds shall not be used after 1 July 2010 in articles where the concentration in the article, or part thereof, is greater than the equivalent of 0,1 % by weight of tin.
(b) Articles not complying with point (a) shall not be placed on the market after 1 July 2010, except for articles that were already in use in the Community before that date.
5. Dibutyltin (DBT) compounds:
(a) Dibutyltin (DBT) compounds shall not be used after 1 January 2012 in mixtures and articles for supply to the general public where the concentration in the mixture or the article, or part thereof, is greater than the equivalent of 0,1 % by weight of tin.
(b) Articles and mixtures not complying with point (a) shall not be placed on the market after 1 January 2012, except for articles that were already in use in the Community before that date.
(c) By way of derogation, points (a) and (b) shall not apply until 1 January 2015 to the following articles and mixtures for supply to the general public:
- one-component and two-component room temperature vulcanisation sealants (RTV-1 and RTV-2 sealants) and adhesives,
- paints and coatings containing DBT compounds as catalysts when applied on articles,
- soft polyvinyl chloride (PVC) profiles whether by themselves or coextruded with hard PVC,
- fabrics coated with PVC containing DBT compounds as stabilisers when intended for outdoor applications,
- outdoor rainwater pipes, gutters and fittings, as well as covering material for roofing and faades,
(d) By way of derogation, points (a) and (b) shall not apply to materials and articles regulated under Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004.
6. Dioctyltin (DOT) compounds:
(a) Dioctyltin (DOT) compounds shall not be used after 1 January 2012 in the following articles for supply to, or use by, the general public, where the concentration in the article, or part thereof, is greater than the equivalent of 0,1 % by weight of tin:
- textile articles intended to come into contact with the skin,
- gloves,
- footwear or part of footwear intended to come into contact with the skin,
- wall and floor coverings,
- childcare articles,
- female hygiene products,
- nappies,
- two-component room temperature vulcanisation moulding kits (RTV- 2 moulding kits).
(b) Articles not complying with point (a) shall not be placed on the market after 1 January 2012, except for articles that were already in use in the Community before that date.
Oman Interim decision Consent to import only subject to specified conditions 12/06/2023
Conditions for import:
- Follow the prior informed consent procedure under Rotterdam Convention.
- According to Royal Decree No. 46/95. Issuing the Law of Handling and Use of Chemicals.

Executive Decree Nr. 305 of 4 September 2002, published in the Official Gazette Nr. 24634 dated 9 September 2002, as a national legislative measure. Article 3 states that: "Substances or products, described in Annex 1, are considered controlled substances and hazardous materials, and their residues are considered to be hazardous wastes. These are substances N.564, 601 and 602 as TBTO, Tributyltin fluoride and Tributyltin methacrylate respectively in Annex I of this Executive Decree.

4. Tri-substituted organostannic compounds such as tributyltin (TBT) compounds and triphenyltin (TPT) compounds:
(a) shall not be used in articles where the concentration in the article, or part thereof, is greater than the equivalent of 0,1 % by weight of tin.
(b) Articles not complying with point 4. (a) shall not be placed on the market after 31. July 2011, except for articles that were already in use before that date.

Conditions for import:
A Hazardous Substance Licence is required for the import/export of the chemical.

The chemical is controlled as a Hazardous Substance under the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA) and EPM (Hazardous Substances) Regulations. A Hazardous Substance Licence/Permit is required for the import, export, sale, storage and use of the chemical.

Conditions for import:
Consent to import tributyltin compounds is only given if they are not used for the production of tributyltin containing plant protection products, biocides, paints, varnishes or articles.
No consent is given for the import of the following tributyltin containing mixtures: plant protection products, biocides, paints or varnishes.
Legislative or administrative measures:
Tributyltin compounds are banned as active ingredients of plant protection products as they are not listed in annex I of the Ordinance on Plant Protection Products, which entered into force in July 2011.
Tributyltin compounds are banned as active ingredients of biocide products as they are not listed in any of the lists mentioned in article 9 of the Ordinance on Biocide Products, which entered into force in May 2005.
Furthermore, it is prohibited:
a. to place on the market or use, in paints or varnishes or for service water, preservatives containing trialkyl or triaryl tin compounds;
b. to place on the market or use antifouling products containing trialkyl or triaryltin compounds;
c. to manufacture or place on the market articles containing tri-substituted organotin compounds.
These prohibitions are mentioned in chapter 2 of annex 1.14 of the Ordinance on the Reduction of Risks relating to the Use of Certain Particularly Dangerous Substances, Preparations and Articles, which entered into force in May 2005.

Imports of tributyltin compounds require registration and licensing from the Department of Industrial Works.
Legislative or administrative measures:
According to the Hazardous Substance Act, B.E.2535 (1992) and Notification of Ministry of Industry Subject: List of Hazardous Substances, B.E. 2556 (2013), tributyltin compounds, namely, tributyl tin fluoride (CAS No. 1983-10-4), and tributyl tin oxide (CAS No. 56-35 -9) are classified as Category 3 Hazardous Substance, of which the production, import, export or having in possession require registration and licensing from the responsible agency, namely, the Department of Industrial Works.
